The three incarnations of Starbuck

Thank you, Swiss Toni with the most delicous moustache for sparking our next sci-fi leaning discussion regarding Starbucks.

The first in question is the most delectable Dirk Benedict, who with the bouffanty 1980s hairdo did well to seduce the ladies alongside his flying buddy, Appollo. I must say that I can't remember that much about Battlestar Galactica, apart from the fact that it was good and I enjoyed it, especially when they came to visit earth and had to cloak their ship and then let in that female scientist on the secret that they really were from another planet/time and I don't know what else... but hey, any comments welcome.

As for the female Starbuck, I was rather disappointed by the grim and dark and menacing representation of Battlestar Galactica in this new series. I watched the beginning - the mini-series before the series? Is there such a thing? It was about three hours long and ended with a shock revelation. Still, the new series has much to answer for, especially the lack of humour. Maybe I'm getting it wrong, but it just doesn't have the same feel to it. It is quite post modern and hopeless instead of inspiring and escapist.

Thirdly, Starbucks, home of the eggnog latte and the Mocha Frappuccino. This is my favourite incarnation, becuase frankly, I can't fancy the new Starbuck, the old one is probably getting on a bit now, and isn't chocolate supposed to release endorphins into your system and make you feel better? There we go. Sugar and Caffine over Dirk Benedict any day. Nuff said.
